Pedestrian Mower Training
Our LANTRA-accredited Pedestrian Mower training course provides practical, industry-recognised instruction for anyone required to operate pedestrian mowers as part of their work in horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
A wide range of pedestrian mowers are used across land-based industries, and with the correct training, they can be operated safely and efficiently. This course focuses on building strong safety awareness, effective risk assessment, and confident machine operation, helping to reduce risk to both operators and those working nearby.
Delivered by experienced instructors, the course covers key legislation, general safety, and machine-specific knowledge, including cutting mechanisms, controls, and daily checks. The programme includes guidance on battery-operated machines and provides hands-on practical experience, including safe mowing techniques on slopes and safe transportation where applicable.
The course is suitable for both novice operators and experienced users looking to have their skills verified. Course duration may vary depending on the number of cutting mechanisms covered. Successful completion results in a LANTRA Certificate of Competence, recognised across the land-based industries.
Training is delivered at our GVA Training Centre in Halifax, with flexible delivery options available for businesses, local authorities, and organisations.
