Brushcutter / Trimmer Training

Our LANTRA-accredited Brushcutter / Trimmer training courses are designed for those working in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance who need recognised, practical training in the safe use of brushcutters and trimmers. Delivered by experienced industry professionals, these courses support both new operators and those requiring refresher training to maintain competence and compliance.

Brushcutters and trimmers are highly effective tools for managing difficult terrain and vegetation, but they can also present significant risks if not used correctly. GVA Training offers a two-day novice course for those new to the equipment, alongside a one-day refresher course for experienced operators who need to update their skills, refresh best practice, or meet workplace health and safety requirements.

Training is hands-on and delivered in real-world environments, combining essential theory with practical operation and integrated assessment. Successful learners receive a LANTRA Certificate of Competence, providing recognised evidence of training aligned with current regulations and industry standards.

Courses are delivered at our GVA Training Centre in Halifax, with flexible on-site or off-site options available for businesses, local authorities, and education providers. Whether you’re starting out or keeping your skills current, GVA Training provides practical, accredited training that builds confidence and supports safe, effective working practices.
