Supporting Shepley Pre-School and Nursery

At GVA, we believe that making a positive impact goes beyond our day-to-day projects and includes supporting the communities around us.

Recently, our colleague Lucas Hayes spotted a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering at Shepley Pre-School and Nursery. To make sure the project was completed to the best possible standard, GVA supplied additional staff, woodchip and equipment.

Together, over the course of nine hours, the team transformed the nursery’s outdoor toddler woodland play area. The work included cutting back the grass, laying fresh woodchips for the children to play on, and installing a new fence to separate the mud kitchen, woodchip play zone and vegetable patch.

The result is a safer and more enjoyable outdoor space for the children to explore and play in, something we are delighted to have supported alongside Lucas.
