Inspiring young people at STEMFest 2025

On October 7th, the GVA team had the fantastic opportunity to exhibit at STEMFest 2025 at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle.

We are proud to be collaborating with all the companies from the National Highways Yorkshire North East Community, who are working together on the SDF contract.

The event brought together thousands of young people from schools from the region, across the three-day event, all eager to explore the wide range of STEM career paths available, from bridge building and lighting to environmental and ecological work.

It was inspiring to engage with so many enthusiastic students, helping them understand how diverse and rewarding a career in our industry can be. Events like STEMFest are vital in encouraging the next generation to consider careers that shape a sustainable, greener future.

A huge thank you to Josh for leading our engaging exhibit and for his brilliant work with the young people throughout the day — your energy made a real impact!

We left feeling truly inspired and proud to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
