From Robots to Green Careers: GVA Inspires at the Colas and National Highways Event

Last week, we were delighted to attend the Colas and National Highways Careers Event at the Colas depot in Liverpool.

Our team demonstrated a range of innovative equipment, including fuel-powered and battery-powered robots, battery-powered small tools such as leaf blowers and strimmers, and a battery-powered robotic grass cutter.

The event was designed to highlight career opportunities and showcase the variety of roles within the Highways sector. We received great feedback from Colas on GVA’s exhibit and stand, which was fantastic to hear.

The event brought together 16–18 year olds on construction study programmes, exploring potential career paths, as well as adults supported by Inside Connections and Catch22, gaining insight into opportunities within our industry.

We are proud to support events like this, encouraging both young people and adults to consider a career in arboriculture and the wider environmental sector.
